Travelling...

Yay that nobody reads my blog anyways lol :-P I have survived my exams and my paper...now i have to worry about moving out/ un-registering from the city and from the University + Robin is comign to visit me!! I'm really excited about that. As of tonight (the 27th) I will have no more internet at home and people can only call me. I move out of the StuSie on the 31rst and then I will be staying at another home in Freiburg. Robin is coming on the 2nd of August and we will start our travels on the 4th. WE will go to Treuchtlingen (to visit Bean's exchange partner), Malmoe (Sweden), Prague, Berlin, Kiel, Dresden, Koeln, Hamburg, Ulm--it will be lots of places but it will be A LOT of fun. I will be back at home on the 24th. Looking forward to seeing people at home too...though I am sad to leave. I have already decided that I am coming back :-p Take care! Schoenen Tag wuensche ich euch!

Uni-stress

Yay for words that are the same in German and in English lol...I am feeling the heat now because of University and my upcoming tests (I have four) and a paper. My weekend is somehow very very full and I'm feeling quite tired right now. I managed to get out a rough rough draft for my paper, practically 2000 words in German, though it did take a lot of time. Tonight I get to study for my first exam, which I haven't started to study for yet--at least I have started to study for some of my other tests. I have the first on thursday, then two oral exams on next monday (24.07.) and another written exam on the 25th. I hope that I can live through it all.
I did have a nice visit with my exchange family last weekend and this weekend I'm going swimming with Tini, going to the sommerfest for the kindergarten and a gospel concert tomorrow (plus I'm talking with Bean--yay!) and on sunday there is church and I have been invited to a coffee party and then to go swimming. I will have to see how I am doing before I let my hostess know if I can come or not...it would be cool. That's my problem that I want to see people and have fun, to make the most of my last few weeks and yet I have this series of scary looking tests and other tasks pertaining to moving away. I'm so glad that I have Jesus--He is my refuge, I just hope that I can trust in Him.
I should go to my homework now. Einen schoenen Abend noch!

It's hot out...

well the *excitement*...I have decided I've had enough of homework for today and that it's too hot outside. Last week was hot and it just isn't going away but eventually my brain will adjust (I hope) for I have exams coming up later this month. Last weekend CYF went to Bingen and Ruedesheim for Canada DAy. We went on a long boat trip (saw lots of interesting castles) and we watched the soccer games in the evening before waiting for fireworks--that came as we were leaving lol. WE got back really really late and I had to take a taxi home because the Strassenbahn doesn't run after 1:30am (it was 2:30) Then I got up to go to church and survived that...but afterwards I went out for lunch at Stefanie's house and we made South African food--and I was totally tired and hot. The food was definitely tasty though. Tonight I bought ice cream for my Hauskreis but my freezer isn't the best and it's starting to melt a bit :-( I hope that it will last another hour lol. If nothing else, it will taste good to me. Yay for Germany making it into the Half-finals or whatever they are called! Tomorrow night will be a football night, that's for sure. Hopefully they can beat Italy. Next weekend I'm going to visit my exchange family and we'll be watching "Hamlet" presented inside an old castle--should be very interesting. It will be my last visit before I leave Germany and so it will be a visit filled with mixed feelings. I am certainly grateful to have them.
Well I'm going to stop now and debate about writing my grandparents a letter--I got a second letter from them today in the mail and so it might be good to write them back soon ;-p
Ich wuensche euch einen schoenen Abend noch!
